STATEMENT OF POLICY

The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) assures every user of the website that every personal data shall be protected with the agency’s best ability. As what is stated in the Data Privacy Act of 2012, the Academy will do its duty “to protect the fundamental human right of privacy, of communication while ensuring free flow of information to promote innovation and growth.

This Privacy Notice may be amended at any time without prior notice, and such amendments will be notified via the Academy’s website.

Use of Information

Any information that the Development Academy of the Philippines will collect from its users shall be used primarily for the Data Maturity Assessment Project’s use and to give the site’s editors and administrators some useful data on the website usage and activities of users.

Should users be required to provide personal information such as name and email address such information will only be used for the said purpose only. Rest assured that the information collected from users will not be used for marketing nor commercial purposes.

The Academy conducts basic tracking of website traffic for external pages. Should a user visit the website, the following information will be gathered and analyzed:

The Academy continuously implement organizational, administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard your personal data.

The information that will be gathered will only be accessed by the website administrator and shall be archived on a safe server environment. The gathered data would not be accessible to the public, unless the agency will have an intention to publicize some statistics on the website use. Rest assured that the information that will be posted would not identify a specific user.

Should third parties require access to your personal data, we require some form of data sharing agreement with them, in compliance with the Data Privacy Act and its IRR.

The study aims to conduct a systematic assessment of the data ecosystem of all the cities in the Philippines in an effort to guide DOST-PCIEERD's technology support and research and development agenda for the cities and to identify entry points for future interventions.
